2020 Senior Feature- Cassidy Mueller

Wow! A lot has happened since our last 2020 Senior feature and I am finding it hard to know exactly how to start this blog post. With the COVID-19 crisis, our 2020 Seniors along with ALL students are navigating a world that just 2 short months ago didn’t exist. Students are now taking their classes on-line at home and our Seniors have had their final year cut drastically short. So much of what makes us all human- connection, activities, celebrations, and gatherings are all put “on hold” right now and I feel now, more than ever, it’s so important to celebrate and lift up our students, families and friends.

After all the hard work, dedication and commitment my 2020 Seniors have had to their education, communities and activities, to see them miss out on their final months has left me feeling a bit helpless. So I will be featuring my 2020 seniors over the next couple months as we come up on their graduation day to “virtually” celebrate them and all their perseverance through this crazy time. I am so thankful that I was able to get in the final (5) 2020 seniors before the “stay at home” orders came into place and look forward to celebrating again with them at their Cap and Gown sessions once restrictions are lifted. We are getting there, one day, one step at a time.

So first up is 2020 Tahoma Senior, Cassidy Mueller. I have had the pleasure of working with Cassidy and her family now for 3 years. They are an amazing bunch and I have so enjoyed getting to know them. Cassidy was a bit reluctant when she first got to her session. Within the first few minutes, however, her confidence started to shine and she learned her incredible potential in front of the camera and the rest of her session was magical. She is fierce and her personality came out in so many ways. What a pleasure to witness!

Cassidy brought several guests to her session. Her mom and big sis (one of my 2017 Seniors), Hailey came to help out and join in on the fun. And then the big star, her 11 year old Australian Shepherd, Rookie, made a special appearance to join in on some of her photos. I love it when my seniors personalize their session by bringing a beloved pet and it was amazing to see their bond.

Cassidy is heading off to Oregon State this fall and I am so excited for her. Thank you Cassidy, Theresa, Hailey and Rookie for coming out on such a gorgeous spring day to celebrate all of Cassidy’s accomplishments and hard work. Can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for you! Let’s celebrate Cassidy today!
