4 years ago, I met this sweet, silly and crazy 8th grader for a Tween Shoot. She came to her shoot with her pointe shoes and tons of stories and we wound up spending the evening together giggling and taking photos and having a great time. Now, 4 years later, it is time to do her Senior Photos and it is so bittersweet knowing how much fun I have had with Shelby through the years, but not yet ready to see her off to college next fall. I have gotten to know Shelby and her family through the years and they are now friends and family. It’s one of the things that I love about having my own business- the people and the relationships that are created. It’s so special to me to have so many repeat clients that trust me with their teenagers, their milestones and their memories. So here we are, 4 years have flown by and now it’s Shelby’s turn for her Senior Photos in Downtown Tacoma. Unbelievable.
This is one of my favorite shoots with Shelby (I think I always say that, though). She had so many personal touches- I mean, can you get over her dog, Lily’s sweet face? And then her new glasses! How amazing do those look on her? I look at the images from the first time we worked together and I see how much growth and maturity has come over these past years. She is now a woman, ready to tackle this last year and be off to college in the fall. I am so proud of all she has accomplished.
Here is a sneak peek into our evening together. As always, it was full of laughing, joking and lots of stories. Thank you Shelby, Amy, Emily and Doug for so many amazing years. Enjoy her photos and a little trip down memory lane with the blogs below!
