Lake Wilderness Tween 13th Birthday Session

Spring is here and Teen and Tween Season has officially begun! And what an amazing way to kick off the season then celebrating Aly’s upcoming 13th birthday! We met up at Lake Wilderness last week for her photo shoot on a gorgeous, spring afternoon. I have had the pleasure of working with Aly and her family now for about a year and time with them is always filled with laughter, fun and a few, happy tears. Aly brought so many cute things to her birthday tween session including balloons, cupcakes and the most gorgeous pink dress to help celebrate. She is so detailed oriented and loves fashion and it made for some fabulous photos.

Aly has dealt with a lot of adversity in her life and it has created an inner strength that she is just starting to discover. There is a resiliency to her that is courageous and has created a willingness to put herself out there and try new things. She loves to travel, go mountain biking, bungee jumping (yep, you read that right) and white water rafting. As fearless as she is, there is a sweetness to her that shows how much she cares for her family and her friends. She loves helping out at home, cooking her family dinner and says she can’t live without Scooby snacks (love it), movies and music. Just in the past year of knowing her, I see so much growth and confidence in her. She does not trust easily and to be able to have the chance to work with her and get a big, genuine hug at the end of her session was wonderful. Aly, you are a incredible, young woman and a force to be reckoned with. Thank you so much for coming out and letting me capture this big 13th birthday milestone with you and your beautiful family.
