Can I share a story with you today?
7 years ago, when I first started my photography journey, I photographed my very first senior session. I took this bubbly, golden-haired young woman out to Chamber’s Bay and we spent THE BEST 4 hours together taking pictures, laughing, and trying every outfit and pose under the sun. I remember coming home from that session so excited and telling my husband that THIS was what I wanted to do- build my business around seniors and teens. I loved that session and think about it all the time. I loved her enthusiasm, the 1:1 time, getting to know her- everything about her session. I rushed home to look at all the pictures and spent HOURS editing each one to perfect detail. It was the session that started my love, passion, and excitement to work with teens and I haven’t looked back since.
Now, here we are 7 years later and THAT golden-haired senior is now becoming a mom. I am so blessed to be a part of all her milestones- from senior year to her and Mitch’s wedding day and now becoming a mom for the first time. It may sound cliche, but THIS is why I do what I do. I love the people. I love building relationships with them and watching them grow. I am NOT a photographer you come to see once and that’s it. I am a photographer that loves to work with you, loves getting to know you, and loves growing with you. I’m interested, excited, and engaging. This is who I am and it’s the absolute foundation of my business. Congratulations Clara and Mitch. I am SO happy for your both and can’t wait to meet this little person! Can you tell by the color of Clara’s dress if it’s a boy or girl? Well, let’s just say little Man is the future Class of 2039 and hopefully, God-willing, I will be there to capture it! Here is a sneak peek into her maternity photo session.
Update! I am so happy to report that Colton Kenneth Schaefer was born on 6/16/21 and mom and baby boy are happy and healthy. Welcome to the world baby Colton! You are so blessed to have Clara and Mitch as mommy and daddy!
